The Complete
List
When Catch Me Once,
Catch Me Twice was first published in 1994, it received little attention. The
press, Creative Publishers, had never published a young adult novel,
and I was unknown. The
book wasn't even included in the Canadian Children's Book Centre Our Choice
annual list of recommended books. I had no expectations of a
publishing career, so this didn't bother me. I was already working on
my second book, which was actually a rewrite of an unpublishable novel
I'd written earlier. When that book, To Dance at the Palais Royale
appeared two years later, it won three awards. I was astonished. To
date, my books have won twelve awards, and I continue to be surprised
every time. I feel very fortunate to have been honored in this way.
Here is a list of my awards, shortlistings and honours.
