My New Book

Beyond Enchantment is the working title of the manuscript my wonderful agent, Ginger Clark of Ginger Clark Literary, is now taking out into the world. This light-hearted fantasy is set in a magical kingdom where, once upon a time, a teenage princess cast a powerful spell, the Enchantment, so fairy tales really could come true. She disappeared soon after and the Enchantment hasn’t worked out to be the happy ending everyone was expecting.

Nearly thirty years later, Lily Nightshade, stepsister of a Cinderella wannabe, meets Marigold Butchersbroom, fishmonger’s daughter and member of a secret underground movement fighting the Enchantment. With the help of a talking fox, a magic tablecloth, the king of the fairies, a birdwatching prince, a frog trained in psychology, an excess of sleeping beauties and a whole lot of magic that may not do what it’s supposed to, Lily and Marigold set out to make the world right again.

I hope this book will be a fun escape for readers. Heaven knows we need one right now.
